Personal highlights for her so far including getting hand-picked by Snoop Dogg to join him onstage at the YouTube Brandcast in May 2013 Niykee has maintained her songwriting regimen despite the ups and downs of the past few years. Songwriting is a source of inspiration for hopeful producers. Niykee is always listening to beats and discovers many songs that inspire her. She says that she can discern if a beat is good in just five seconds. And then, a brand new track will come into her mind. While I'm at my front porch, playing guitar, lyrics will come out and can be done in less than 30 minutes. Niykee is continuing to improve her skills as a poet and lyricist. She says that the pain she experienced during her childhood can be a sources of ideas. She says that even when she is not writing about events that are actually happening the pain through her childhood and losing her younger sister makes its way into the music. The memories influence my songs and creates a deeper significance behind everything that is an important thing for me. I want to be able to say that I can hear any of my songs 20 years later and be proud of what I said.
